Not Enough Skaters/Goalies - 14 Man Rosters 1917-18

Hello, I'm planning on starting a Commissioner Mode game going back to 1917-18 and moving forwards to present day, however when I attempt to play I am getting the "not enough skaters/goalies" warning, I was under the impression that this was fixed for 14 man rosters back in this era? Do I need to select/deselect something in the set up?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Caveat: I've been playing FHM6, but the boards there haven't been as lively so I thought I would try here. Thanks!

You may be running into a situation where you have too many forwards vs. defencemen dressed or vice-versa. If you have more/fewer than 4 defencemen dressed, try to get it to 4 exactly.
