Question Can i have a fictional and a historical save simultaneously?

Hi all,
I have recently begun a historical save with real teams and logos etc but i have been reading about fictional leagues which has got me a little intrigued.

Is it possible to have two separate saves, one fictional leagues and one historical at the same time?

Also, i have downloaded the generic logos, fictional historical leagues, and the stock logo uni project.

Is that all i need to create and run a fictional league with uniforms and logos? and how would i go about using them?

I am still working through videos but fictional seems to be great for some, and it does look interesting, if i can have a fictional save at the same time to see how i like it would be nice.

What are your thoughts?

Thank you.

Yes. you'll have to give them different names and from the main menu access them under "load Game" rather than continue game. Continue game will begin last played game. In beta testing i've had as many as 3 games currently working - having my "active" game (fictional) while having a couple historical test game on going. Since they were totally different games, accessed by different names, there weren't any conflicts.

You can have as many saved games as the free space in your storage media can handle. The game itself does not limit you.

Thank you both for the replies!
That is fantastic then, i can install the fictional leagues, logos and uniforms at the same time as my historical logos and uniforms and switch between the saves at will without the game becoming confused or using the incorrect logos or uniforms?

I will have to look into more detail on how to do this as it does sound like an interesting option!

Careful! With this unlimited (except by your hard drive) capability to create new sims, you may begin to forget to eat and sleep - known as OOTP Syndrome.

I recommend keeping fictional out of the OOTP folders. For me it's just easier to load them separately. You can also load the folder you want to use for logos, caps, jerseys and pants upon league creation and at any point. During league creation go to advanced settings then the 3rd tab over from create game? (i suck when I don;t have the game open) and halfway down you can set the folders you want for each. I do this all time in various leagues.

You can also run a fictional league and a historical league within the same universe. My EVL vs MLB started with historical 1999 MLB and over the years i added other leagues. MLB did not become fictional until 2018 (in game) 2014 IRL.

yes i can imagine that quite easily!

Thank you for the replies, i have a lot to learn!
I am using the Steam version of the sim if it makes a difference, i found out the hard way that you do not use the My Documents folder for the steam version, instead i have had to drop my mods in the game install directory to make them work correctly.

@The Game: So, i can put all the fictional stuff in a sub folder of the main install directory (say called fictional) and tell the sim which custom folder to look in for everything?

I am getting more and more excited to try this out!

The way I do it is I load the folder from either the setup - advanced setting menu or after league creation from the League Settings - Database screen then run a reload on jerseys. Here is a folder that I use prior to 23. I select the logos, caps & jerseys folder for each in either of those 2 places. i have not tried this for 23 yet but I will soon. This is my favorite random debut set.
