Quick Historical Game Question

Howdy.

If I'm creating a historical MLB game starting in 1987, and I "disable automatic creation of free agents and draft class", when I get to amateur draft day, will I be selecting ONLY from real world players available in the 1987 draft? I'm not going to see Ken Griffey Jr. lined up next to Thaddeus Q. Abercrombie or whatever, right? I'm trying to avoid the creation of fictional players in this replay, and I thought it might be fun to re-run the amateur draft each year instead of importing historical rookies to their real world team.
