I just finished all of the BAL gold missions to unlock Edgar. I am debating on whether or not to put him in my lineup as my DH. My current DH is 94 Mission Ted Williams and he is hitting .225. The backup is Hank Aaron and I have Ted as my backup LF. I also use FL Jason Dominguez as my every day LF because he is a switch hitter, but I feel like he should be replaced. Do I use Ted as an every day LF and then have Edgar as my DH?

Edgar should outhit 94 Ted. Now it's up to you to decide whether you've got a better guy in left. I've sold all my 94 Teds because there are better options at DH and his defense is atrocious.
