SIX new skyboxes!

Got off my *** and got to work on these. There'll be more to come soon. The East Bay set is both a day AND a night...very happy to get a night box up.

These have been tested against a stadium that has OF bleachers. If the backdrops that come provided with the models interfere with the skybox too much for your liking AND the 3d texture for said background is a PNG file...just open the graphic, select all, delete, save, and your model won't be disrupted, but the backdrop will be gone. A caution: some folks have used more than 1 background file, and some use jpg. This technique will not work with jpg's.

Cheboygan Park

is a roadside park on US-23 between Mackinac City and Cheboygan on Michigan's beautiful northern coast. Lake Huron provides the large open space for the ballpark to sit unobstructed. Ballpark nod to mjryan65 for his wonderful work on the stadium in all the previews.

GT Bay #1

was taken at the edge of the marina in Grand Traverse Bay in downtown Traverse City, MI. TC is a popular tourist destination and the Cherry Capital of the world!

Petoskey Breakwall

is from Little Traverse Bay just off the break wall for the marina in Petoskey, MI. Petoskey is an historic, artsy town. Best things in town in my humble opinion are the best Chinese buffet in northern Michigan and the Mitchell Street Pub, where yours truly whiled away many a good time in his youth. Great food and ambience.

Big Mac #1

is taken at the city park at the foot of the Mackinac Bridge, the Lower Peninsula's northern tip. Big Mac is sadly not going to be visible in most ballpark settings. I still don't have the scaling issues worked out for that...but I'm looking into it. This is the 'Gateway to Da UP'!

Harbor of Refuge

is taken at the DNR Harbor of Refuge on US-23 between Ocqueoc and Rogers City. Lake Huron (all the Great Lakes for that matter) are known for fierce storms that blow up out of nowhere. They're beautiful indeed, but we have a saying: "If you don't respect the Big Water, it'll kill you." As someone who's gotten caught 12 miles out in 8-12 foot waves on a 24 foot boat...I can guarantee you that is not an experience you want to endure.

East GT Bay

is a rarity. With the help of newer software than previous years, East Grand Traverse Bay is brought to you in both a day and night (late evening at least) form. The picture was taken at Wilson State Park's beach on East Bay, just off US-31 in Traverse City.

Hope you all enjoy!
