How does Auto Qualify work?

Hello,

So as the title asks how does Auto Qualify work? I've never turned it on (right click player and turn it on or off) because I was afraid of what it would do or not do. Is it for RFA only or UFA too?

I tried looking in the manual but that was useless. The manual is really underwhelming and really needs a lot more substance to be any usefull... ok I digress...

It would be for RFA only. It's the minimum offer required to retain their rights. They'll likely not accept but otherwise they become UFA.
