AI making roster moves
I'm playing a game as the Wheeling Nailers in the ECHL, and I had two goalies from Wilkes-Barre sent down to me. Both of them are worse than the goalies I had signed to contracts, but I can't send the W-B goalies down to semi-pro. So, I want to carry three goalies on the active roster so that I can at least play the starter I want.
Periodically, though, the AI sends my starter down to semi-pro (I assume because carrying three goalies on the active roster is a problem). I keep having to call my starter back up to the ECHL. Is there a way to stop this from happening? When Pittsburgh or Wilkes-Barre forces roster changes on me, I'd prefer if I got to decide who to call up from or send down to semi-pro. |

That'll actually be the Pittsburgh AI doing it, Wilkes-Barre will send their own contracted players elsewhere. You're partially right about the reason: Pittsburgh isn't actively trying to fix the 3-goalie roster, but whenever they want to send someone down, if the roster is full it's going to force one of your players to be demoted to make room for the player it wants to move. The extra goalie is the logical choice. What may avoid that is keeping your roster size at 19, so they always have room to send one player down, but if they do multiple demotions at once, it'll still happen.
