Complete Universe Facegen Pack Not Visible In Game

Hi all, i have been away from the game for a bit and forgotten a lot and have just decided to jump back in.

However i am wanting to use the Complete Universe Facegen Pack
and have followed the install instructions exactly as described on the page, but none of the faces appear in my game.
I can successfully create new facegens for everyone but i want to use the thousands of already created facegens in the mod.

I am 100% sure it is something i am doing incorrectly, so i would appreciate any help getting this working.
I have installed the mod in the install folder just to confirm not the Documents folder.

I have also added LansdowneSt's fg Pack and tnfoto's photo pack.

Make sure the *.fg files are in the Z:\.....\OOTP Baseball 23\data\fg_files folder.

Just out of curiosity, does the update/generate facegen option in the menu use the modded facegens instead of creating new ones? it takes a while so i'm not sure.

Does anyone else use this pack and can help me? if the game doesn't use the mods' faces, i may as well just let it create them all.
I assume the facepack faces are better than the autogenerated ones?

I thought the Complete Universe Facegen Pack was by FancySkunk?
Did LansdowneSt take it over? I am using both mods and just want to know how to ensure the faces from those mods are applied in game.
I read the instructions on the page and followed them precisely, but the faces did not appear, hence the confusion!
I have a number of player photos appear so i know the photo pack is working at least so i have no reason to suspect the other two mods are not working.

I haven't taken over the CUF pack but I do have my own pack so you can get all the more recent ones from me and save atop FancySkunk's CUF pack.

See the thread below and see if it helps. As long as the fg files are in the fg_files folder you should have no issues but - facegen needs to be enabled. I've subscribed to this thread now to see how you do...

That is exactly what i did when installing your pack over the top of CUF, i am glad i did it right!

Had a read of that thread and will read through the threads linked in that post.
Well, i did use the update/generate option in the menu and left it to generate/update for a while and everyone has faces now, i was just curious if it generated all of the faces from scratch and ignored the mod for some reason, or used the thousands of modded faces and generated the missing ones.
I am assuming the latter as everything is where it should be and facegen is enabled.
Is there a way to confirm the mod is installed correctly?, i know it is not hard to install and i did install it into the fg_files directory, but thought i should ask.
I am still very new to the sim and figuring stuff out, so that is why i am a little puzzled!
Also, is there a thread i can watch to know when your pack is updated?
Thank you for your help and also for your pack, i look forward to getting a proper game going and using CUF with it and tnfoto's pack!

Sure. Tell me what year your game is in and we can look someone up. I make many of the current players that ship with the game but it easier to tell if it’s installed if it is 1982 or something.

Okay cool, i have started a couple of games to get a feel for it but have made zero progress as i don't know what i am doing but Youtube is slowly helping!
I have just started a brand new game in 2022 as the ACL Texas Rangers.
I have double checked the update button for players and staff and everyone seems to be accounted for as far as i can tell from a bit of poking around, so i assume it is the mod working as expected.
Nobody is jumping out to me so if you have a player or two to compare that will confirm the mod is working perfectly (which i expect it is).

In 2022, a lot of the faces will come with the game. See this post below and lookk-up a retired player (use the search bar in upper right of OOTP24's interface) and look where the difference between my pack and the CUF pack is significant.

If no face, the mods are not loading. If a poor face, mine did not overwrite it. If it looks like mine - great

Also consider going to File>Settings>Facegen and at the second to last toggle at the bottom, put facegen detail on "high" instead of "medium".

That's good to know, playing in the lower levels, nobody had a face, and looking through MLB teams (where i would have thought there may be some faces included) and no one i clicked on had a face.
Well, i just loaded up and every retired player i searched for in your linked post had a photo instead! (i also use tnfoto's pack), changing from photos to facegen in the options and updating all players made no difference, the photos remain.

Eventually, i did find a few guys without photos and can confirm they are from your pack!
Everything is now ready to (finally!) get into an actual game!
