Dramatic increase in AI trades?

Imported a save from 23 that was at July 28. I had previously changed the trade deadline to 8/8. From 7/29-8/4 I counted 42 trades by the AI (and I had turned several down.)

AI trading is set to average.

Could it be that the normal 8/1 deadline prompted a ton of trade offers due to the new deadline system, but because there was now an extra week those offers just turned into a ton of accepted deals over the next few days... or are trades just more common?

This was in build 36, BTW.

Yes, we've noticed that might be the case. It's on our list of things to check over and potentially rebalance a bit.
