I've been playing this game for 10 years and...

...and despite logging an inconceivable amount of hours into many different sims, have never experienced the comeback that I just pulled off with the 2026 Nationals to win the World Series.

Went down 3-0 in the WS, came back to force a game 7, then overcame an 8-3 deficit to force extras and eventually win it all.

If this actually happened, this would surely go down as the best game/series in baseball history!

Dylan Crews, the 1st overall pick in 2023, hit what was the go-ahead homer in the 9th, then after Seattle tied it, hit another go-ahead homer in the 11th, which ended up being the winning run.

My bullpen usage for this game is wild 😂😂😂

That's all, just felt I had to share this with y'all given this is easily the most memorable game/series I have under my extensive OOTP history.

Yes, very cool. The OOTP comeback code strikes again. JK. :P

I'm curious, what were their actual and pythag records? Who were the best players on the team?

I noticed they won 3 of the 4 games by 1 run and the other by only 2. What a nail-biter those last 4 games must have been for you.

Wow. That’s awesome! Dang what a post season Crews had! 8 HR’s

I’ve been contemplating who to draft playing as the Oakland A’s in my first season, and if he falls to me I might have to take him.

87-75, both actual and pythag. My 1-4 hitters Raynel Delgado, Dylan Crews, James Wood, and Orelvis Martinez carried my offense both during the season and throughout the playoffs.

As for the pitching, I created a "big 3" by signing an 80-rated international FA from Japan, signing Julio Urias, and trading for Hunter Greene. Unfortunately the pitcher from Japan got injured so I was forced to start Greene on short rest which went poorly. As you can see, he only ended up recording one out.

I didn't include it in the original post because I was trying to keep it concise and contained to just game 7, but yeah games 4-7 were all super close and could have went either way. Game 5 in particular, I was down 5-3 heading into the 9th and with two outs, Joey Meneses hit a game-tying double. The next batter, Delgado, hit a walkoff two run shot to end it. I'll attach screenshots from that crazy game.

The whole playoff run was nuts and I've never seen anything like it in my lengthy OOTP career.

Yeah Crews was out of his mind. He's had various injuries which has kept him off the field and primarily a DH, but his bat makes it all worth it

Yes this is really believable as only the Mariners would blow that kind of series lead ugh.

There is an interesting article in yesterday's Richmongd paper about James Wood (now at Harrisburg in A ball) and his dad, Kenny Wood, a U of R basketball star from the Dick Tarrant era.

That's awesome, thanks for sharing.
Imagine if we are controlling Seattle and this happened to us, we might shelve the game for months.

As a Mariners fan, sadly, this does not surprise me much
