Retired Numbers

Does the game retire numbers for teams, or is it totally under human control?

The game retires numbers for teams. I have a league where I just watch and let the AI battle itself, and teams have retired numbers for team legends.

The game has also retired numbers for teams I have controlled.

Thanks. I've never once looked at this feature. I will start checking it out now.

I check the retired numbers every 5-10 years. I find it a pretty cool trip down memory lane.

The game isn't great at this and it's harder for it to recognize when to retire a number when it's an imported game I've found. So I find I have to do it manually way more. Wish there was a way to auto-generate the summary when you retire a player, but I can automate the bios now at least.

Auto-generating the little blurb when manually retiring numbers would be great. Pretty often I manually retire a number for someone that I thought was a slam dunk that the game just didn't retire automatically for some reason. It would be nice to have that bit of color in there for those ones.
