Customizable Data Folder

Windows user.

When I ask FHM 9 to show me the customizable data folder, it opens the data subfolder where the app itself is installed (i.e., in Program Files).

However, when I look at custom_folders.ini, it shows the custom folder is my Documents folder (which is on a separate drive from the app. According to this path, there is a Franchise Hockey Manager 9 subfolder in the OOTP folder of my Documents. However, no such folder exists. I manually created one, but of course, it is empty.

I assume that I will need to copy all the data files from the FMH 9 in my app directory to this custom directory, if I want to do things like add facegen files, since I will not be able to save facegen files in the app directory.

However, will FMH 9 even recognize the customizable folder I manually created to match the custom_folders.ini file? Why would it be opening the app file when I ask it to show me the customizable folder, if the custom_folder.ini file thinks the customizable folder is somewhere else?

I never solved this problem with FHM 8 and gave up on the game, but I'm trying again. Anyone else facing this issue?

I've never had that, my FHM8/9 and OOTP customisable data folders all appear in the My_Documents' folder by default - have you reported this in the bugs thread? Do you own OOTP? Does that create a customisable folder in My Docs?
