No Stanley Cup Awarded

Was running as commissioner in historical mode and in the years 1923 and 1924 when the cup was in interleague competition it wasn't awarded. Prior to 22-23 I had to edit the wchl playoff format but is this why the interleague cup wasn't played for? Any help is appreciated

I've found that the inter-league Stanley Cup series always breaks if you edit the league structure. e.g. expansion or changing playoff format.

I think the problem has to do with scheduling. The early NHL seasons were
played from December to February, but when you edit something it generates a
new schedule starting in September/October (as per later NHL seasons).
The Stanley Cup 'event' still gets scheduled for the next year (April), but when
you get there nothing happens.

See the game told me the wchl had an invalid format. If I match the nhl format would the cup be played??

That won't make a difference. A soon as you edit either league to
change something, expansion, playoff format , number of games etc...
it will generate a new schedule and the inter-league Stanley Cup event stops working.

In the game I'm currently playing the 1917-18 season was ok. I then
expanded PCHA on 1st July 1918. The season was then changed to
run in October/November,(both leagues).and the Stanley Cup event was
scheduled for April 1919. However, when the April arrived it wasn't played.
That could be intentional as 1919 was the year it really wasn't played, but I doubt it.
There were no messages to explain why etc...

On 1st July 1919, the leagues were again scheduled starting in October 1919,
but the Stanley Cup event was scheduled in December 1920 (the following season). This pattern has continued each season,
1st July Year X, Stanley Cup December Year X+1, so it's like chasing a rainbow,
by the time you get there it's moved somewhere else! I suspect if you did manage to catch
it, it wouldn't take place anyway.

This is right. I recently have been running an alternate NHL history from 1917, with slightly longer game schedules, and the Stanley Cup itself doesn't return until there is only the NHL.

Could you export rosters and do a historical matchup?

And do any of you think they'll fix this in the next update?

So somehow the interleague cup was played for again in 1925 26 because I somehow made the nhl round of 16 a best of 3. I'm gonna this in a different game and see how it works.
