Cristobal Torriente import error

Have there been changes to player IDs? The spreadsheet I have of Player IDs doesn't appear to work on every player. Cristobal Torriente is one. I've had a lack of success with a couple others so far.

List the ones you're having issues with and I'll try help you get them in.

Cristo should work with torrie049cri and I use 1912 as his import year.

Here's the list I use, not all work properly but most do.

Torriente's ID you're using is the one I'm trying to use. The other person not working is Jose Mendez with mendez049jos and year 1907. Louis Santop, who I was having an issue with, finally worked.

The list you provided appears to be the same one I'm using. Oddly, I remember being able to get Torriente and Mendez to work in the past.

Remember you must check the minors DB for these guys. Especially Cristo and El Diamante because of their chunks in non-US leagues.

Had it checked for minors and still had issues. Ended up deleting my league to start a new one. Will give it another shot when I get back to 1907. Thanks!

OK I know the issue.

I bet you''re on v24. The DB was updated for it.

Cristo is now torrie001cri. Still 1912.

Save a copy of the MiLB Master csv file (in the Stats directory) for whatever version you are using. Then you can filter / search the player you are after and his correct code will be in there.

Bit of a bummer because it means that handy xls file no longer works, but at least we're getting better versions of these guys in the game.

The "torrie001cri" ID is the baseball reference designation. The OOTP database is being aligned so that instead of a custom spreadsheet to import a historic player via their Historic Minors ID, you can just look the player up in bRef and find the ID that way. The update is a process that takes time.

The -049 one was a code that I believe Spritze invented as a placeholder back in the day.
