Excessive contract messages

Started the Buffalo Sabres 1998/99 historical challenge, and am attempting to sign players. I feel like there are way too many messages about Visnovsky declining my offer.

I can't seem to replicate this. Do you recall any of the details of the offer you made him?

I just offered him a standard entry level contract with no changes to salary or role offered.
