When a contract is about to run out and is then renewed by the club you don't have the option to reject it. I like to play a club until my contract is up and then would reject a new one. The other part is if you resign from a club it states that you have been fired, This isn't a huge thing but when i look back at my career and have been fired 5 times but in reality i have just moved clubs. As i say there are not bugs but they are things that have annoyed me for years
