International Complex Games(?)

The International Complex accumulates players, but there is no league to have them play. Is there a way to have these players play a short season summer or winter ball? Looks like I could add a minor league and promote them there, but then I cannot move them back to the International Complex. Any thoughts on this?
Also, I did notice that I will get a scout development update on players, not many, that are listed in the International Complex. Do they just get re-scouted without playing?

They still develop, they just aren't playing games. I think you might be able to set up a tournament (similar to the arizona fall league) but not sure if they would need to be in rookie ball for that or if complex players would be ok.

The Complex doesn't have official games, but they are working out, playing practice games etc...so scouts are seeing them.

You can include these players in Tournaments and/or Winter Leagues without removing them from the complex also.

It would really be nice if we had winter leagues, but I guess that's a pipe dream at this point.

OK, it works. Just add a new Development League, Fall, Draft or Prospect. Then in League Settings select International Complex as the league. The players are there and you select them. Looks like this another way to get the International Complex player's experience.

Oh I realize it's doable...but I am talking about real world leagues such as LIDOM, Liga de Béisbol Profesional Roberto Clemente, Mexican Pacific League, Cuban baseball league, Colombian Professional Baseball League, Venezuelan Professional Baseball League, Panamanian Professional Baseball League with a ll of the proper rules and so forth. Even the old ABL that used to be included with the game wasn't really up to snuff in terms of rules so that players from other leagues (organizations) could participate during the winter.

I realize it can be done on a ruidimentary level...but it also requires a hell of a lot of extra work...something I just am not up for anymore.

How do you choose International Complex in League settings?

Has anyone taken a stab at those winter developmental leagues in terms of long term play? If so, how did they work out? It’s been a long standing impression that they”re pretty rough when it comes to re-creating those real leagues I mentioned above.

It isn't an option in itself.

If you have International Amateur Free Agents or International Scouting Discoveries enabled then the complex will be there.

Since we'll likey never get back the international leagues we lost, it would be nice to have the tools to recreate them in thier true form.

But if we don’t get them back )which I agree is doubtful) how would you go about re-creating them in their “true form”? Seems like a chicken and egg senerio. If you are referring to templates that are basically the correct setups with different teams’, then I agree…no reason these shouldn’t be provided.

I am pretty much done doing full world universe mods, and I am unaware of anyone else working on such a project for 25 ( I could be wrong though) so yes, these are important going forward IMO.

Change the roster source to Affiliated teams and then change the talent levels to the IC.

I'm going to try and recreate them if I can. In the past I've tried running them as normal leagues just starting in the fall but that never worked out very well.
This year i'm going to try adding all winter leagues as a developmental league and see how that works.

It would be so great if they gave us more tools to recreate this kind of stuff. I understand removing leagues due to legal reasons but that shouldn't stop us from having the tools to recreate them via mods.

I'd never considered the "add a development/fall league to give international players stats" idea before now, so I'm glad I found this thread, even if it doesn't make any real gains I like the idea of those players actually playing versus not.
