Do you find yourself scratching your head, filling the social media threads, and bashing your head against the wall when your team’s GM makes a move that clearly doesn’t make any sense? Do you sit there watching the media frenzy during the Trade Deadline desperately waiting for an alert that your team has landed a blockbuster deal, only to be disappointed and screaming, “Why didn’t we fix our scoring problem, or defensive holes…. hell… anything?!”

Well, now is your chance to get in the driver’s seat and take a shot at making the right moves yourself! Tape 2 Tape Sim League is back for its third iteration and is in search of new and seasoned GMs to lead a team to victory – whether it be through a rebuild and developing players through the draft and AHL, maintaining a core group through extensions and supplying them with a solid depth for support, or landing a few big fish at the Trade Deadline that just want a shot at the Cup. In T2TSL, you decide the path of your team. In fact, it is a integral piece of how our league is run.

Announce to your fans through the media, as the new GM, if you are rebuilding, hopeful to reach the playoffs, contending for a conference championship banner, or even expecting to be a champion. The catch? Your decision comes with a set of expectations for the next couple seasons. Say your are rebuilding? Your team needs to improve each season, but not by trading away draft picks. You improve THROUGH the draft. Say you are a contender for the Cup, or even expect to win? You must resign your best player who is in a contract year to solidify your prowess.

Your team. Your decisions. Your path to victory. T2TSL is set up to make sure that there are goals and challenges for every GM, regardless what state your organization is in. It shouldn't be “win the Cup or be bored.” It isn’t here. Through changes and the multiple iterations, T2TSL is designed to be similar to having a real GM spot with perks and hinderances based off your performance in the front office. Exceed expectations set forth and you could see players in free agency take a salary cut just to play for your team. Fall short of your expectations, though, and you could see your best player looking for a new home.

At the end of it all, Tape 2 Tape Sim League is looking for GMs who are in search of a great community that loves to talk about hockey, sure, but also a great community that enjoys getting to know each other, having fun, and immersing themselves in a chance to make new friends and share a common goal of proving they can be a good GM too!

After the Kings raised the Cup upon scoring an OT game-winner in Game 7, the league has moved into the offseason. Equipment rule changes expect to increase the goal scoring in the upcoming 2024-2025 campaign and the Entry Draft has been completed.

The league has entered offseason free agency where several teams are wards of the Board of T2TSL, looking for eager and active GMs to take their turn at building a dynasty, including two playoffs teams from the inaugural season:

Buffalo
Calgary
Colorado
Montreal
Vegas
