Will There Be Another Update for OOTP24?

In previous years the final patch came as early as July and as late as December, will there be another update for OOTP24?

I don't convert my leagues to the latest version until after the final patch is released... I want the game to be as good as it is going to get before using it on my leagues... sorry to be that way, but it has always worked well for me.

I figure there will be no more updates for OOTP24 because they are going to work on OOTP25 now.

But it would be nice to get official work on the matter.

Thanks for the info... much appreciate it... I didn't see that line in Markus' post.

I guess it is time to update my leagues.

Here it is, I had to read it several times myself to catch it.
Seems like they should make it a little more clear than development of 24 has ended.

But, it is there and I guess they left it open just in case anyone spots a bug in 24 that they need to circle back to and fix.

Yeah, buddy... I think you are right... Markus and the Crew know the game and how to make it function best... a lot better than me.

Wasn't the final patch for 23 only so late because of the rumored lawsuit? I won't TELL YOU WHY but I am 100% positive that the team has moved onto 25 pending some major as-yet-unknown crash but a new year final patch is kind of a once in a blue moon occurrence anyway.

I have an OOTP 24 save that hard crashes 100% of the time whenever I advance to the off-season.

This seems like the kind of thing you'll want to report as a bug/issue, not leave in here for possibly nobody to ever see! It's possible (maybe even this is the highest of probability) that a save file got corrupted but it's also possible that this is in fact a bug that could be fixed...

Otherwise, do you have a backup of the season? When you turn on the trace file, what does it say?

I know, man. It's just that I had put a lot of work into creating the save. After I got through the 3rd season and it just dropped dead out of nowhere. I'm sure you can relate to how demoralizing that can feel. I just had to step away from the game for a while.

Yeah, I have a backup literally from the point of failure. It dies every team on the "Calculating Player Ratings" step. Debug file is attached. I didn't see any weird any messages in it.

Crashes are always top priority, especially repeatable ones! If you post the league file, let me know. I'd like to take a look at the settings.

I did get around to reporting it as a bug, but unfortunately they can't reproduce it
