Major crash leaves game all messed up

Had a major crash at the conclusion of a played-out game last night.
When I loaded the game tonight, I found I had lost all four games I had completed.
On trying to start the first of the four games I lost.
I noticed the playing screen seemed off. As the outfielders were positioned just behind the infield.
When I actually put a ball into play, all the players disappeared from the field while the ball traveled to its intended destination.
I have included screen shots of what it looked like.

Have you tried restoring from your most recent backup?

One feature I would dearly love in OOTP is the ability to save while a game is in progress (without exiting OOTP).

Preferably without leaving the in-progress game.
