You can play as a GM, manager, or both. So you can run your team and choose whether you simply watch the games play out with an AI manager running the team, or you can choose to actually control your team in-game and manage there as well. Whatever you prefer.

You can purchase directly from us here. Or if you prefer the game on Steam, you can purchase from the Steam store as well.

I play as GM/Mgr in my league in MLB. There is a way for your assistant GM to deal with your minor league issues which is what I do. Don't be affraid to ask questions in the forums. That's how I got through the learning curve.

Yeah, the managerial options are some of the most fun aspects of the game since the relatively new addition of 3D (it's been a few years so it's well tested now). There's a tremendous amount of flexibility in how you want to play, what/who you want to play with, and so on.

For one example... I do the intensely nerdy thing of playing as every single team in my league - fictional but with the real-life teams for its era (1972 right now). I make lineup/rotation/roster decisions for each team on a day to day basis and run trades according to an attempt to recreate historicity. I even play out every game from the 7th inning on (I usually complete around one season per real-life year). Since even I have my limits I let the AI handle minor league roster moves and signings and all personnel moves as well. I think I might be the only person who posts here who does stuff like this: most people go the normal route of choosing a single GM or GM/manager and playing as them (or playing in an online league where some/all teams are human controlled). I have a friend who has been playing through the 19th century for quite a while himself; while the game doesn't support all the craziness of pre-1901 baseball out of the box, it's flexible enough to more or less allow you to do everything that happens in that.

Others have run Star Wars themed online leagues, various points in history (a popular one is "what if the 1994 strike never happened"), modern games that go on for 50 years or more, a complete recreation of history, even a version where you can start in, say, 1901 and have players come in from randomized seasons across the history of the game... all of the options might seem daunting at first but it's basically your game to play however you want.

Is this game you can play gm and manage the game?
Or is it strictly gm mode where you just watch the game?
Thank you.
Also where can I purchase this game?
Welcome!! You can actually do both!

AFAIK there is no way to manage a ML game, or even to definitely control lineups/strategy. Someone please correct me if I have that wrong.
