Total Baseball Scramble 001 dynasty
Folks,
I currently have a ten-league promotion-relegation dynasty with each related league having two subleagues with two five-team divisions apiece. The leagues currently present in this dynasty are as follows, from top to bottom: Major League Baseball American Federal Baseball Union North American Baseball Association United States Baseball Association Heritage Baseball League Baseball Alliance of North America Liberty and Freedom League Gentlemen's League American Baseball Federation Pastime Club Baseball Most, if not all, of those leagues and/or their related subleagues already have suitably good logos I plan to use long-term, in fact. For those that might need better logos later, please watch the graphics forum for possible new requests thread at hopefully appropriate intervals if not already in existence or part of my main graphics thread. The current year in this dynasty is 1901, and we are at the All-Star Break in all ten leagues at this point in time. This is the first season of this dynasty, in truth, and it is a 200-team dynasty at this point in time, so I don't know how long this dynasty may be able to run, just yet, unfortunately. More information about this dynasty will be revealed in the following posts. While it may be a large promotion-relegation dynasty, the promotion and relegation of certain teams will ultimately be done manually, in sincere hopes that affected teams after every season will be placed in more geographically appropriate divisions in each league. Even if it means that I may have to shift teams periodically between subleagues as the promotion and relegation of certain teams annually is taken care of, for sure, folks. In any case, I hope you all eventually come to enjoy what is yet to come for reports in this dynasty. As it currently has two hundred teams in ten existing leagues, I don't know yet just how in-depth many of the related posts will be, ultimately, as this thread develops. As for the initial placement of teams in various leagues, I tried to pick them as randomly as possible, whether their names are for real historical major or minor league teams or not, in truth. You may be surprised with some of the placements, but please remember the name of this thread and its related dynasty, folks. Thank you all for your time and attention here, and let's see where this Total Baseball Scramble 001 dynasty takes us all, if and whenever possible, in the future, then. CD out.

Major League Baseball as of 1901 All-Star Break
All teams in all leagues are playing 150 games per season. There are no association playoffs as of this point in time, but they may come later, of course, as the need or desire arises, folks.
Anyway, this post is mainly meant to introduce you to MLB as it now stands, team and division and subleague-wise, at least. The current MLB teams as of the 1901 season, by subleague and by division are as follows: American League: Ferguson Division: Hickory Crawdads Lakewood Blue Crabs (Will need some graphics help for them later on) Memphis Chicks Mobile Bears Richmond Flying Squirrels Duffy Division: Aberdeen Shorebirds Chicago Whales Indianapolis Racers Kannapolis Intimidators New York Mets (AKA Metropolitans) National League: Ramsey Division: Calgary Stampeders Colorado Rockies Kelowna Silvertips Oakland Oaks Saskatoon Gems Miller Division: Kansas City Diesels Mankato Moondogs Monterrey Sultans Ogden Raptors Portland Beavers (in Oregon) My human manager is not in this league, quite obviously, since my favorite team isn't in this league. But I do have a single human manager in the dynasty at this point for it here, most definitely. You'll have to wait to see where that team is, however, for at least one more post, if not more than one, folks. The divisions in this league are named for great players in another one of my dynasties, specifically for Charlie Ferguson, Hugh Duffy, Toad Ramsey, and Dusty Miller, I believe. Either Hall of Famers or ones almost certain to be Hall of Famers in it, if they're not yet eligible for such an honor in it, in any case. CD out. P.S. Current league standings as of All-Star Break below, by the way. CD out.

American Federal Baseball Union as of 1901 All-Star Break
The next overall league is the American Federal Baseball Union. Current standings as of the 1901 All-Star Break will be shown at the bottom of this post, and that will be the case for other associated leagues' related posts, at least for now, if I remember to include them in such posts, of course.
Anyway, the AFBU's subleagues and divisions and teams are currently as follows, folks. My only human-run team at present is currently resident in this league, but hopefully not for long, of course: Federal League: Haddix Division (Named after Harvey Haddix): Nashville Sounds Ottawa Lynx Pittsburgh Pirates Tampa Bay Devil Rays Toronto Blue Jays Williams Division (Named after Ted Williams): Boston Red Sox Carolina Cobras Lexington Lexicons Philadelphia Phillies Providence Grays Continental League: Sutter Division (Named after you-know-who, my favorite all-time player): Albuquerque Isotopes Bend Rainbows Dubuque Packers Reno Aces St. Louis Cardinals (My team, of course) Robinson Division (Named after Jackie Robinson): Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks Hollywood Stars Inland Empire 66'ers Las Vegas Rollers Missoula Wild Horses All divisions in all leagues and/or subleagues are named after real historical players unless stated in this dynasty, for your information, folks. Not necessarily by level of importance or career quality and all, but as I felt appropriate for each relevant league here, just so you know. One division in each subleague will be named after a pitcher, and the other will be named for a position player. I'm not trying to say one player is better than all others in how I'm naming the divisions after certain players in each overall league and subleague. But I still had to choose certain names here for each overall league's relevant divisions, in any case, so that they then wouldn't all be too repetitive here, of course. CD out.

North American Baseball Association as of 1901 All-Star Break
The next overall league is the North American Baseball Association. Current standings as of the 1901 All-Star Break will be shown at the bottom of this post, and that will be the case for other associated league's related posts, at least for now, if I remember to include them in such posts, of course.
Anyway, the NABA's subleagues and its divisions and its teams are currently as follows, folks: Victory League: Witt Division (Named after Mike Witt): California Angels Hillsboro Hops Lincoln Saltdogs St. Paul Saints Winnipeg Goldeyes Brett Division (Named after George Brett): Kansas City Royals (Across the Missouri from the Diesels) Oklahoma City Bisons Omaha Storm Chasers San Jose Condors Wichita Wranglers Union League: Koufax Division (Named after Sandy Koufax): Brooklyn Dodgers Lowell Spinners New York Giants Philadelphia Athletics St. Lucie Torpedoes Banks Division (Named after Ernie Banks): Atlanta Beats Brevard County Manatees Chicago Cubs Cleveland Indians Jupiter Hammerheads As for certain team names, I prefer them over other potential alternate names at this time. For instance, I personally greatly prefer the California Angels team identity over both the Los Angeles Angels and the Anaheim Angels team identities for the Angels franchise, so that will be their identity going forwards, then, for them here for at least the near future in this dynasty, folks. I do not plan to change any current identities for any of the 200 relevant teams anytime soon, at least at present. CD out.

United States Baseball Association as of 1901 All-Star Break
The present age limits in this dynasty for active players are a minimum 17 years old and a maximum 50 years old. Also, no leagues in this dynasty will ever likely have designated hitters present, and other rules or options are also not checked at present. I don't know if I'll add other leagues and/or teams to the overall mix for this dynasty, but I may eventually add fictional nations to it as the need or desire arises, with applicable cities and all.
I'm thinking of adding at least one league for players over 50 years of age, but I'm not sure just how to do it well enough for this dynasty so that players don't retire too soon in it. That's because I'd certainly like to perhaps see them play, if at all possible, for multiple years before either quitting their playing careers or then moving on to other leagues for certain players over certain ages, perhaps in a feeder system of some sort here. In any case, here's how the United States Baseball Association is currently set up, folks: Eastern League: Spahn Division (Named after Warren Spahn): Baltimore Orioles Baton Rouge Red Sticks Boston Braves Durham Bulls Lansing Lugnuts Dawson Division (Named after Andre Dawson): Buffalo Destroyers Charlotte Knights Montreal Expos Orlando Sunrays Rochester North Stars Western League: Ryan Division (Named after Nolan Ryan): El Paso Texans Eugene Emeralds (May eventually change to Churchmen) Midland RockHounds Santa Cruz Cruisers Vancouver Canadians Musial Division (Named after Stan Musial): San Francisco Seals Sioux Falls Skyforce Springfield Bluebirds Texas Rangers Tijuana Toros As before, current league standings as of the 1901 All-Star Break are below. CD out.

Heritage Baseball League as of 1901 All-Star Break
The next league up in this mix is the Heritage Baseball League. While it may be the fifth league in the mix, at least as of the present time, I think there might be significant rivalry potential for certain teams in it, if they are each in the league for long enough periods in this dynasty, just the same, especially if they're quite close to each other geographically. Players are typically created in the 17 to 22 years old age bracket, for most, if not all, leagues in this dynasty, or will be for it, when possible and all, I'm quite sure.
Anyway, here is how the Heritage Baseball League stands, as of the 1901 All-Star Break: International League: Galvin Division (Named after Pud Galvin): Fort Myers (AKA Ft. Myers) Miracle Greensboro Grasshoppers London Monarchs (in Ontario) Lynchburg Hillcats Williamsport Crosscutters Fisk Division (Named after Carlton Fisk): Bradenton Marauders Chicago White Sox Hartford Dark Blues Lakeland Flying Tigers Tennessee Smokies Pacific Coast League: Rivera Division (Named after Mariano Rivera): Bakersfield Blaze Boise Hawks Tulsa Twisters Victoria Vultures Yuma Heatwave (Likely will need some logos, at least, for them later) Maris Division (Named after Roger Maris): Everett Dreamliners Frisco Rough Riders Lake Elsinore Storm Mesa Sunfires Thunder Bay Whiskey Jacks As before, current HBL standings as of the 1901 All-Star Break are shown below. CD out.

Baseball Alliance of North America as of 1901 All-Star Break
The next league up is the Baseball Alliance of North America. Some of the team names are of historical teams, and some are of fictional teams in certain locations you might not normally expect to be present in a large dynasty like this one, folks.
Anyway, here is how the Baseball Alliance of North America is currently configured. I don't know how many of its teams will be in this league long-term or not, of course, but in any case, this is how it is now: Eastern Alliance: Paige Division (Named after Satchel Paige): Augusta Greenjackets Charleston RiverDogs (in West Virginia) Decatur Commodores Huntsville Rocketeers Washington Senators Snider Division (Named after Duke Snider): New Jersey Generals Norfolk Tides Norwich Navigators Peoria Chiefs (in Illinois) Troy Haymakers Western Alliance: Feller Division (Named after Bob Feller): Austin Rustlers Des Moines Bruins Helena Millionaires Lodi Crushers Okoboji Grackles Gwynn Division (Named after Tony Gwynn, Sr.): Amarillo Gold Sox Duluth Zeniths Idaho Falls Chukars San Diego Padres Seattle Mariners As before, the current standings for the Baseball Alliance of North America as of the 1901 All-Star Break are shown below. That is all. CD out.

Liberty and Freedom League as of 1901 All-Star Break
The seventh-ranked league in the relevant dynasty is the Liberty and Freedom League. It is currently using a somewhat generic overall logo, so a new one or ones would probably be quite appropriate for future use, once made by someone or at least one AI art generator site sufficiently well here.
Anyway, here's how the Liberty and Freedom League shakes out at present, though obviously the configuration will be changing later on, sometime after the postseason ends, folks. To that effect, here are the relevant subleagues, divisions, and teams: Liberty League: Mathewson Division: Bowling Green Hot Rods Lancaster Red Roses Milwaukee Brewers New Britain Rock Cats Reading Coal Barons Aaron Division (Named after Hank Aaron): Asheville Tourists Chattanooga Lookouts Montgomery Biscuits Pensacola Blue Wahoos Staten Island Anchors Freedom League: Maddux Division (Named after Greg Maddux): Columbia Boonslickers (in Missouri, my birth city, by the way) Corpus Christi Hooks Quad Cities River Bandits St. Louis Browns Tri-City Dust Devils (in Oregon, I believe) Sandberg Division (Named after Ryne Sandberg): Billings Mustangs Grand Junction Ice Hawks Orem Flash Rancho Cucamonga Quakes Rapid City Rushmores As before, current standings as of the 1901 All-Star Break are below. Hoping that the Boonslickers and Browns will both eventually make it at least to the NABA, if not to MLB, in the near future, of course. CD out.

Gentlemen's League as of the 1901 All-Star Break
The eighth-ranked league in this dynasty is the Gentlemen's League. It has a league logo that is somewhat generic in appearance, but still somewhat suitable for the current era, at least, but it may eventually need to be updated in time, of course. Perhaps by the 1920's or so, if this dynasty can last long enough here somehow, that might be appropriate enough here for it.
Anyway, here's the current configuration as of the 1901 All-Star Break for the Gentlemen's League in this dynasty here, in any case: Tea League: Palmer Division (Named after Jim Palmer): Louisville Colonels Potomac Cannons Toledo Mud Hens Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Worcester Ruby Legs Wagner Division (Named after Honus Wagner): Birmingham Barons Columbus Buckeyes Delmarva Shorebirds Greenville Drive West Virginia Power Coffee League: Eckersley Division (Named after Dennis Eckersley): Aguascalientes Railroaders Eureka Loggers Modesto Nuts Monclova Steelers Stockton Ports Cepeda Division (Named after Orlando Cepeda): Hawaii Islanders Overland Park Aeros Salem-Keizer Volcanoes Spokane Steelheads Tabasco Olmecs As with other leagues, current GL standings as of the 1901 All-Star Break are below. The on-deck league is now the American Baseball Federation. CD out.

American Baseball Federation as of 1901 All-Star Break
The next league for this dynasty is the American Baseball Federation. Some interesting rivalry possibilities here, I think, for various teams, in the future, it seems to me as of the present time.
The ABF is currently set up as follows, though things will change later, of course, depending on which teams get demoted from the GL to the ABF or promoted to it from the PCB, the last league in this dynasty's mix right now: Sunrise League: Newhouser Division (Named after Hal Newhouser): Batavia Muckdogs Biloxi Shuckers Clearwater Threshers Detroit Tigers York White Roses Goslin Division (Named after Goose Goslin): Binghamton Triplets Frederick Keys South Bend Blue Sox Syracuse Choppers Wilmington Quicksteps Sunset League: Hoffman Division (Named after Trevor Hoffman): Arizona Diamondbacks Edmonton Trappers Fresno Raisin Eaters Saltillo Serape Users San Antonio Stallions Puckett Division (Named after Kirby Puckett): Cedar Rapids Kernels Great Falls Voyagers Minnesota Twins Sacramento Solons Walla Walla Sweets As with the other leagues, current ABF standings as of the 1901 All-Star Break are below. Just one more league to post about here, and then all ten leagues will be revealed, as far as their relevant current configurations and all, at least. CD out.

Pastime Club Baseball as of the 1901 All-Star Break
The final league currently present in this dynasty is the Pastime Club Baseball league. Of course, it is the league with the lowest reputation, in any case.
Here is its current configuration, as of the 1901 All-Star Break. Which teams will be promoted or not after this season is still yet to be determined here, of course, but at least this is how things are now for it: American Association: Hubbell Division (Named after Carl Hubbell): Daytona Tortugas Florida Marlins Fort Lauderdale (AKA Ft. Lauderdale) Flotilla Harrisburg Keystones (May need some graphics help for them later) Savannah Saber-Tooths Berra Division (Named after Lawrence "Yogi" Berra): Bowie Bay Sox Cincinnati Reds Joliet Green Giants New York Yankees Portland Sea Dogs (in Maine) National Association: Clemens Division (Named after Roger Clemens): Lubbock Ranchers Puebla Parakeets Sioux City Explorers Tucson Sidewinders Waco Wackos Biggio Division (Named after Craig Biggio): Arkansas Travelers Houston Colt .45's Round Rock Express Salt Lake Buzz Veracruz Red Eagles As with other leagues, the current standings for the PCB league as of the 1901 All-Star Break are below, for sure. I don't know yet if the current leaders in this league's four divisions will all still be on top of them at the end of the season here, of course, though. And just so you know, at the moment, all players in the dynasty are fictional players, but that won't always be the case. Am thinking about starting to import historical players by no later than 1905 or so, whether manually by random choice of players or by automatic importing for the game's future draft pools, if not both at the same time. That's yet to be determined, however, in terms of when and if I'll choose to go that route, at least in part, if not entirely, for this dynasty here, folks. CD out. P.S. I'll post more here once at least one or two of the relevant leagues have played their respective All-Star Games. Unless, of course, any of you have any more questions about any or all of the relevant leagues here, you know. CD out.

At the end of the season, folks, I will need your various suggestions here , probably, on how to reconfigure the ten relevant leagues, depending on who is to be relegated and who is to be promoted. Certain teams seem to be near-locks, if not definite locks, to either go up or down in the current overall setup, as of the 1901 All-Star Break in those leagues, while other leagues are still wide-open here, for their pennant races, for sure. Just so you know. CD out.

Union League beats Victory League 10-9, with a walk-off win in the bottom of the 9th. Next up, the Eastern League is going to be hosting the Western League in the 1901 USBA All-Star Game in Durham, with the Bulls hosting the game. That is all. CD out.

Western League beats Eastern League 1-0. Next up, the 1901 Heritage Baseball League All-Star Game will be played in Greensboro between the Pacific Coast League and the International League with the Grasshoppers of the IL ultimately hosting the game here. However, I think that game won't be played until at least tomorrow here, for various reasons here, somehow, in truth. Just so you know, folks. CD out.

Pacific Coast League beats International League 5-1 in Greensboro, NC, with the IL's Grasshoppers hosting the 1901 HBL All-Star Game. Next up, the 1901 Baseball Alliance of North America All-Star Game in Washington, DC, at Griffith Stadium, with the Washington Senators hosting the game. I might be able to get one more game watched before I finally go to bed tonight, but if not, I hope to somehow have watched and reported on it here by sometime this weekend, at the latest, if possible. That is all. CD out.

Western Alliance clobbers Eastern Alliance 17-4 in Washington, DC. Next up, the 1901 Liberty and Freedom League All-Star Game in Sportsman's Park, with the St. Louis Browns hosting the game. That is all. CD out.

Once the remaining four All-Star Games have been played, we can move on quickly to the second half of the 1901 season in this dynasty. We have yet to see the Liberty League take on the Freedom League, the Tea League take on the Coffee League, the Sunrise League take on the Sunset League, and the American Association take on the National Association, in their leagues' respective All-Star Games. Hopefully by this time next week, we will again be able to get back to in-league play for all those leagues, along with the leagues that have already seen their All-Star Games played here.
As far as the teams in MLB to be demoted, I think it quite likely that five teams are quite likely to be among those demoted to the AFBU. If I had to pick from the 20 teams in MLB who might be demoted after the season, I'd have to say the five most likely ones would be the Racers or Intimidators in the AL Duffy Division, the Stampeders in the NL Ramsey Division, and either the Raptors or Diesels in the NL Miller Division. All the other teams seem much less likely to be demoted here to me at least as of the present time, although I'll eventually have to choose one from the Ferguson Division to go down, of course. As for the teams in the AFBU Federal League, the Haddix Division is still too close to predict the divisional winner. The Williams Division is currently led by the Grays from Providence, but the Phillies aren't too far back. However, unless the Red Sox, Lexicons, and/or the Cobras play well, one of the three is likely to be some distance back of Providence and the other teams in the Federal League, at the end of the season. The Cardinals in the AFBU Continental League's Sutter Division currently sit six games back of the Dubuque Packers in third, in what seems to be a four-way race for the divisional title. Reno may possibly be too far back to make a serious run for it, though, judging by their current status of being 15 games back of Dubuque at the All-Star Break. The Continental's Robinson Division seems to currently be a three-team race for the divisional title between the Las Vegas Rollers, the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, and the Missoula Wild Horses. The two teams most likely to be relegated from that division down to one of the NABA's four divisions are the Hollywood Stars and the Inland Empire 66'ers, with the 66'ers more likely to drop, in my current view. I'll write much more later, related to the other leagues in this dynasty, once the last four All-Star Games that have yet to be played have been played here, I'm sure, folks. But for now, feel quite free to take at least some looks at the current standings in all ten leagues, and make predictions on who you think might go up, might go down, or stay in each of their respective leagues, once this season's done and all, of course. Either publicly or privately, that is, you know. CD out.
