Can you freeze free agent signings during season?
Trying to simulate a college league ... Once the regular season starts, wanted to stop all free agent signings until the end of the next off-season. Is there a way to do this? Thanks!
If it is not possible, one work-around I thought about was taking everyone on the free-agent list on opening day and giving them a season-ending "injury". Is there a way to do this action in bulk or do I have to do it one player at a time. Thanks again!

Put all of the players on teams in that league. You can fit up to 200 players on any one team. Set the independent league such that player contracts cannot be purchased by MLB teams. You can mass-sign players to a team with multi-select, but it requires disabling financials, which you can do only in the pre-season. So, SAVE FIRST and then zip your save-game just to be sure so it can be easily restored if needed. Then on the day before Opening Day, create the independent league and team. Turn off financials and Act as GM for the independent team. Then multi-select all of the free agents and right-click sign them to the team. Then turn financials back on. Make sure the independent league schedule doesn't end until the MLB season ends. Hopefully that should do it. |
