Lost all my coaches!!!

I'm just the GM not coach. Why can't I just sign team personnel if they're contract is expiring? I try to extend pitching and bench coaches and it says the manager controls what bench coaches I sign. Well then sign them. I end up losing all my bench coaches. So now I fire my manager who was decent. Idk what settings you can put for GM only and still sign personnel.

You should be able to extend them in the last half of their final season. I usually get emails prompting me that their contracts are expiring.


There is a GM/manager setting that can give the Asst GM (the AI) the ability to hire and fire coaches. Be sure that is turned off.
