No animation or play by play

I get all the way up to first pitch with everything working as it should. All players on the field as they should be - hit 1 to pitch/bat and no animation occurs - no movement - game pauses - then result of the play. No play by play, no pitch/hit, just a result of the play (man on first, out, etc). I've been able to play OOTP 22, 23, 24 on the computer I'm on. I didn't see any real differences in the specs for this year. Any suggestions?

It kind of sounds like maybe 3d got disabled for you, and you might be on the modern 2d screen?

If so, it may be that the 3d is not working. The first step to take here is to update your video card drivers (or your Mac OS on Mac). Most of the time, that should fix things. If not, let us know and we'll look into things further.

the animation works but flickers/flashes every few minutes - this computer did work with 23, 24.
