Question Contact vs Expected hits from Power rating

According to OOTP25 release notes:

Quote:
Contact Rating
Power has now been removed from the calculation for Contact. The updated contact rating is now a mix of the batters’ BABIP rating along with their Avoid K rating only. The calculation for that has been updated.
Players who relied very heavily on HRs may have very small contact ratings in the new model. Conversely, players who hit few HRs would be expected to have much larger values than they used to.
But when I change Power (from 100 to 300) in Editor then number of expected hits is still changed and resulting Avg has also increased, rating does not change as promised. But how should one interpret that now? is it a leftover? Should I ignore that?

That's expected. The contact value determines their results on balls in play. The combination of contact and power will determine their actual average that they are expected to hit.

HR are hits. You can see in the above example the player added 9 HR, which means 9 less balls in play. In those 9 balls in play, they would likely have gotten 3 hits due to their other ratings, so that's why their overall hits total increased by 6 (+9 - 3).

Thanks!
Just wanted to clarify definitions and how they are applied, the devil is in the details as usual
