Cannot import free agents upon making changes to exported free agent .txt file

In OOTP25, when I go to the free agent list and click Import/Export, then Export free agents, OOTP exports the free agents to a .txt file as it should. However, when I make changes to the .txt file and click Import free agents, the .txt file is not listed, therefore I cannot import it. I am certain that I am looking into the correct folder. The .txt file is in Windows Explorer, but does not appear in OOTP25. I still run a copy of OOTP24 and .txt free agent files appear fine for import there.

I am running version 25.7 Build 79. The particular game I tried to import free agents into is called Jumbo2, however this problem occurs in all of my leagues. I have zipped up my files to your FTP site, called CantImportFreeAgentFiles.zip . It includes all my Jumbo2 .dat files plus the .txt file of free agents I am trying to import. I forgot to include screen shots of the Windows Explorer and OOTP folder views in the .zip file, so I will upload those separately.

Note: I was not able to upload the two .jpg file screen shots separately, so instead I added them to my original .zip file and was able to overwrite CantImportFreeAgentFiles.zip with the new one.

I think we filter the import to only include csv files - I believe there was an issue importing other files that caused a crash.

You can simply rename the file to a .csv, or when exporting, change it to a csv before editing. It should show up in the list after. We can change the default name to be a .csv in the next update.

Yes, it would be good if upon clicking Export free agents, OOTP by default makes it a .csv file. The way it is now, one can’t expect the user to know they have to change the .txt file extension to .csv .
