Game crashes when proceeding to new season
Played the 1871 season. Season is complete on October 31.
On November 1, the "Offseason Starts". When advancing to the next day (Nov 1), the game crashes I am on version 25.7 Build 80 I've played dozens (hundreds?) of historical seasons and never had an issue with crashing, so I tend not to think it is a computer issue, but I am on a Dell desktop. Repeatable crashes, it's best if you can upload the files (https://support.ootpdevelopments.com...p-developments), that would help us greatly in tracking down what might be going on.

Sorry, I added that comment in the 'edit' of the initial post but it probably got overlooked.

I think some of the franchise tags in your game aren't matching what we expect, and that's causing a problem with the auto-expansion.
One option is you could disable the historical auto-expansion. Especially in those early eras, sometimes the teams get messed up, especially if the structure was not the default from when the game started. If you don't do that, then you may need to manually adjust the league before advancing. I would suggest to create the second sub-league (to have both AL and NL), and then to manually set the franchise ID for some of the teams (ie. set the Philadelphia Athletics to OAK, the Boston Red Stocking to ATL, and so on). As long as you set a few of them, that should get you past the trouble spot. We can correct this up so that it will work automatically in the next patch, but for now I think either of the above may work. |

Argh! It was the 'Automatically expand league' setting. I never enable that option, but somehow it got set or I missed it.
I turned it off and now the league advances to the next season just fine. |
