Changing Starting Year for Random Debut League Without Having A Geriatric League?

I've been a long, LONG time OOTP player, but I've never tried a Random Debut League.

I've been toying around with the settings and started a couple of leagues, as well as read up on a few things here. But I'm having trouble getting a start I want.

I'd like my league structure to have just 16 teams, which means I can use pretty much any year up to 1960. But...I want my start year in the game to be 2000, with modern-ish settings (2023-24 if possible, but even 2000 would suffice).

However, when I adjust the start year to a later year, all the starting players are, understandably, 40 years older than they should be. Which is kind of entertaining, but not what I'm going for.

Can anyone help me navigate this? Or am I just stuck having to start in 1960. I can live with that, but would prefer to start at the turn of this century, with the 1960 league structure.
