How come the draft is not matching real life in historical sim?

How come the draft is not matching real life in historical sim? I asked this question recently in FHM 10 recently and did not get an answer. I just started a sim in 1965. In the 1966 draft there is no Brad Park or most of the other 1966 draftees. However, there is a host of players such as G.Unger, G. Lapointe, G. Edwards, B. Murdock. I want to know how to get accurate historical drafts. Is hitting the generate rookies at 16 causing the issue of inaccurate drafts in historical drafts in the game? Is it the game itself just causing the problem and there is nothing you can do about it? Or is there another solution to get accurate historical drafts in the game?

Looks like the 1966 draft had the wrong eligibility date, which made Park a month too young for the draft, I'll fix that.
