Pitcher Stamina

I have noticed when going to a team's substitution screen during a game to check on the stamina of my starter, the stamina bars are different colors. Pedro Martinez' bar at the top of the screenshot shows his stamina as red, but the bar with him in the game at the bottom shows his stamina as orange.

Which stamina bar is the one I should be focusing on? Thanks.

I would not use either of them. I would use whatever the pitch count is and the stamina bar in game. However, since he is at 95 pitches and has 7 inning pitched, I would be looking to bring in my setup guy and closer.

Depends on the situation and user. If Pedro is pitching a shut out, I keep him in until he gives up a run.

I'd almost certainly be firing the manager on his way back to the dugout for having left Pedro in that long, personally

I think the bar in the top screen is showing the pitchers stamina as a reliever. The bottom screen is showing the stamina as whatever the current pitcher is. So in this case, as a SP. Have you ever noticed any different colored/conflicting bars for relievers?

The top bar almost always goes to red after a couple of pitches, the bottom bar which should match up with the ingame bar is the one I use. I try to never let my pitches go into yellow. With obvious exceptions.

Thanks. I push my starters to go as long as possible. I'm of the Bob Gibson, Nolan Ryan mindset. Pitch until your arm falls off. I do like to get setup guys and closers in too though. I'm against the 5 or 6 innings starts.

I notice for my relievers they only have the bar at the top, but not the bottom. Also, I have a reliever who is pitching, and his bar is red. When I asked him how he is doing, he says he is fine.

That's what I usually do. Especially for Pedro. Although I am okay if he gives up 2 runs.
