How does OOTP handle 1994?

I am heading my long sim toward 1994. Does OOTP provide the strike shorten schedule? What about moving to the next season without a World Series?
Any of your experiences would help, or an older forum post would help too.

It handles it just like any other 162 game scheduled season.

The World Series is played too. As Scoman said, it's normal. The only time it is shortened is if you are using real lineups/real transactions as those constraints guide the season's evolution instead in that case.

It's not shorten because you have real line-up and real transaction, it is because you select the schedule as played and not as planned (but to be honest the real stuffs wouldn't work if you don't use the as played schedule).

On the other hand maybe the "as played" is selected by default if you play real line-up / real transaction. I always play that way and never thought about the fact it could be the way it works in the game...

If you want to, at the appropriate times because schedules can only be edited for the upcoming year at a certain point in the sim, shorten the season manually in the league editor and edit away the playoffs and WS. Then restore it at the same appropriate times when approaching 1995. I've never done it and before you think about it, back up (not just save) the game you are in in case it doesn't work to your satisfaction. That way you can restore it and try something else.

Sure you can... in the schedule editor import the "as played" schedule for 1994 and uncheck the playoff in the bottom of that screen. Of course this must be done before you start 1994.
