Question About Cards No Longer in My Collection

So I've been completing a lot of missions and ripping as lot of packs. However sometimes when I get a card that I REALLY want to use I can't find it in my collection. Thinking I am going insane, I opened my pack history and sure enough, the card was in one of the packs however it has a red border around it indicating that it is no longer in my collection. Given the fact that I didn't sell the card, where did it go?

If anything weird happens, the first course of action is to exit the game and reboot it.

Check and make sure you can see inactive cards and no filters are on. Sometimes it's something as simple as that.

You can still use it. You may have to use the manage cards function to get it to your active roster.

If you've been buying or ripping and haven't hit Submit Team and you hit Download when prompted (new league file is available) then any cards you've acquired since the previous download will become inactive. This will also happen if your reserve roster is full (see below).

In order to view those inactive cards, find the menu for Main/Manage Cards and select it (or try Team Name/Roster Management and then hit the green Manage Cards button underneath Submit Team).

You are now in Collection - Manage Cards, which is the complete list of all cards you own. Make sure you're viewing all cards (the tabs above the list should say View Default, Filter None, Card Type All Types, Position All Players, Other None). You are now looking at everything and can sort the list by clicking the headers like Name and OVR (Overall Rating).

Once you find the inactive card you're looking for, click on the name to open player profile, find the Action button (upper right), click it, and select Activate Player. If your active roster is full then that player will move to the reserve roster. If there's an open spot on the active roster then the player will move there.

Important exception: since you've been ripping packs, it's possible that your reserve roster is maxed out (you can't have more than 200 active players, normally 26 on the active roster and 174 on the reserve roster). If this is the case, right click on some of the crappy reserve roster players and select deactivate to push them off.

Once you've found and activated everyone, click Submit Team. You can now go back to the roster screen and move players between active and reserve, set your lineups and pitching staff. If a Download pops up while you're busy doing this, click Cancel to keep it from overwriting what you've done so far.

BTW, if one of those Perfect cards is a Combinator then you've hit the jackpot. I sold a 103 Skubal Combinator for two million points a couple of months ago. It's still worth close to 1.5 million.
