George Sisler pitching - LOL?

I have 2 teams, this is my free to play team. They are currently doing not great in Bronze, 43-55.

I noticed something really weird this week. George Sisler, 99 rating, 1B/DH roles, has 3 pitching appearances for a total of 1.1 innings and a 40.50 ERA

There's a team in my league which came out of nowhere, looks like whale team as the coach only has 4 seasons on record. 91-8 record, loaded with 104s. Could all of my bullpen got so tired that they put in this guy to pitch in relief?

The games we lost, with Mr. Sisler pitching, we lost 23-1, 23-4, and 22-2.

If you're losing badly, then yeah, like real life, they might use a position player to pitch. And while that Sisler isn't really rated to pitch, IRL Sisler did throw over 100 innings in his career.
