cannot assign DH to a position during game
Is this a bug that doesn't allow you to set the DH to a position once the game has started? I have times where I pinch hit for someone, and my DH can also play the position of the player that PH for. The PH would become the DH but the game will not let me set the DH like this once a game is underway.

hm - unless I'm mistaken, if you move your DH into the field, you lose the designated hitter position (i.e. your pitcher has to start batting in place of the fielder your DH is replacing). I'm pretty sure those are MLB rules - not sure how or if the game enforces this. Can anyone shed any light on this?

hefa is correct....once you put the DH in the field, your team loses its DH for the remainder of the game and the player that you were DH'ing (i.e. the pitcher) must bat in the spot you entered the PH, unless you were to make a double switch. I don't have the DH in my league so I am unaware of how the game would handle this situation, but from the sounds eros' post, it looks like the game is doing everything correct.

The game doesn't let you switch from having a DH to not having a DH (unless this has changed very recently). Instead you have to stick with the DH you started with.
When I last ran into this (with V4) you couldn't even replace the DH with another hitter, as you couldn't assign DH as a fielding position
