Request: Player-imposed deadline for extensions

With Vlad Jr in the news having not reached an agreement for an extension by spring training and therefore not negotiating during the season and testing free agency at the end of the year, would it be possible for superstars in OOTP to email you on the first day of the offseason before their final contract year to say that if you don't agree to an extension with them by spring training, they will not negotiate during the year and will test free agency?

I know players in the final year of their contract will email you during the season to ask for an extension, but I don't recall any player ever declaring they had to have it before the season begins or they won't negotiate.

It could be something specific to players with high Financial Ambition or low Loyalty, or to players that pass some sort of internal "superstar check."
