Need opinion - who's the MVP

Playing fictional league with all fictional players. 2 sub-league, 4-team each, control every team.
And, in one of divisions have a really tough battle for MVP between 2 players, so I need some suggestions, and opinions.
So, there're 2 players from 2 different teams. Both missed playoffs (only division winners advance) with almost identical record.
1st - led the league in batting (.378, closest at .339) and slugging, hits, steals, wOBA, WPA (7,40 to 5,52), while finishing top-3 in almost every offensive category except BB and runs (2nd in WAR). Defensively, shared time between CF and LF, being below average at first, and above average at second one. Also named 6 time player of the week.
2nd - led the league in OPS, WAR, runs, walks, HRs (37 in 332 AB), while finishing top-5 everywhere except total hits (5th best batting average). Defensively - 2nd best CF league-wide (both efficiency and zone rating), though with negative arm. Also player of the week and player of the month award and his team is 1-win higher in standings.
Both extremely consistent - OPS+ of 183 or better every month of the 4-month season.
So, in your opinion - who's MVP of this 2??

My first instinct is player #2! How much higher was WAR on player #2 than player #1?

I'd go with player #2.

Being charitable to player #1, you can argue that the two players are essentially a wash offensively - player #1 a better contact hitter, player #2 a better power hitter. However, player #2's superior fielding sets him apart as the overall more impactful player.

Thanks for opinion.
Personally, I also tend to choose the 1st one. From my point of view (as I watched how season was progressing) he was like... "heart, soul and muscle" of his team. 14-time (in 96-game season) player of the game, 7-time player of the day. It's like everything that was good for his team, was because of him. Take him away from the lineup - and you can bet they lose. I, actually, found myself kinda rooting for him and his team )
But, "pure numbers", I guess, for second one.
