Import skipped players

I started my save in 2018 so version 19. With regular rosters. Now my league is completely fictional. But there have been great players that were never in my league. I would like a way to be able to import these players. Ones that debut after 2018. Or add them as frè agents. They don't need to be assigned to teams, I can do that. Or add them to the database so they can show up in a search
and can be imported from there

One other idea a template to create player based on stats. Might be easier than adding 200s to 1000s of players to the DB

You could always import them as historical players from their rookie seasons, and either import them to the free agent pool or to the draft, depending on how you want them to show up.

So if I started with 2018 rosters I can import rookies from 2024?

If they are really recent rookies, they may not necessarily import with their potential (since they are treated as historical players, they will only import based on their performances to date).

But you could choose to import like a 2019 Bobby Witt using the minors DB, or a 2022 using the majors DB.

I was wrong about Witt Jr. He was in the original database from version 19. Anyone added to the DB after version 19 (Jarren Duran) is unavailable. I would like to see some way to add those players to my Database, without having to restart my league. One way could be manually using a template that converts stats to ratings. The more stats the user uses the more accurate the player would be.
