A clarification needed please regarding the new MLE versions of Negro League players.

When importing an existing save into 26 how do you select to have the MLE versions of these NeLers come into the save as historical rookies? I know how to do it when you're starting a league from scratch (as in below) but cannot see the ability to do so with existing saves.

In the historical tab, there should be an option for "Use Negro Leagues Equivalencies" in the section where you can specify the recalculation options.

OK, then there's something of a problem that likely needs a rethink.

You can have a "non-historical" game set up to also have historical rookies come in each year. In this case, there is no HISTORICAL tab. I suggest you'll need to add the functionality for this somewhere in this section of the OPTIONS tab to allow it to be used universally if desired.

Yes, I think we should have the historical tab available in those cases. We will look into it.

I think that would be even more beneficial than as just a solution for this problem.

As it stands, there's no avenue to alter import settings or elect to use recalc after the game has been created and this would allow for that as well.

thanks so much for your super-fast reaction and fix of this problem.

Not sure it's working how you want it to, however. Seems to be dumping all rookies up to the current year into the draft pool. See 1923-24 Rookie Draft in the save I'm testing:

So, whereas I make it only Cool Papa Bell, Roosevelt Davis, Martin Dihigo, Rap Dixon, Wilson Redus and Willie Wells should come in for 1924, you istead get them plus a whole bunch of others whose debuts pre-date this. See attached, which is an incomplete list.

I suspect the different IDs might have something to do with it and that the program is telling them to not reimport any players already appearing. For this save, which had been using Lans and Garlon's mod, those IDs are different - 98s and 99s.

If you enable it, when it creates the rookies, anyone who appears during the season but doesn't exist in your game will be added. So in 1924, if you don't have the same Newt Joseph that we see, he'll be added, and we check by those bref ids. If you had a different version of those ids, then the game will see them as different and bring in the new players.
