advice on using random debut

I wanted to see if any of thoese in the forum could help me with my use case involving random debut.
1) I created a six team major league and a six team minor league of affiliates, starting in 1871
2) I want to expand with two new teams each year- one in the major and one in the minor, and then perhaps to expand to a second minor league.
3) When the current season ends, I manually expand the league by creating the new teams.
4) I do that before the first player draft
5) My challenge is to first populate the new major league team with 52 players- 26 which the AI can then move to the new minor league affiliate, but also create a "rookie" group for the other teams which will enable some players to retire and others to become free agents.
6) If I run the draft how can i ensure that one team will get first 52 players and then the other major league current teams will each get a handful of new rookies, some of them whom might actually then join the parent team, displacing others to the minor league or leading to trades?
7) Is there a difference between the expansion draft adn teh first year player draft? Is that the key- meaning should I use the league expansion wizard populate that team with 56 random players and then do the first year draft for all teams, including the new one?

Help is much appreciated,

Ilan

Yes, the expansion draft is when the new teams draft FROM the existing teams' players. The existing teams can protect a number of players you can determine, leaving tge rest available for the expansion draft. When you manually click to expand, you will be given an option as to how many players maximum the new teams can draft from each existing team. It will tell you, as you experiment with options, how many players the new teams will then have on their roster. After that draftvis done, you can then have the usual, annual new players draft.
