Why can't I log in?

I have OOTP 24 and can log in without issue. I just bought OOTP 26 thru Steam (same as 24) and can't log in with my credentials. Why? It's incredibly frustrating. It keeps telling me my credentials are incorrect when they're not. All I want to do is give you more money in buying packs and get into Perfect Team.

If you did not play in OOTP25/PT25, then the account would not have been imported through to the new version. You should be able to create a new team with your email and get going on this year's PT version.

Creating a second email account worked. Blows my mind that this is what's required. You'd think with all their skills they'd link one account to the game. Smh.
