Fictional MLB with stats

This may sound like a stupid question, but....

I want to create a MLB league with fictional players. I see how to do that. And it works great. Only issue, is none of the player have any stats, or any history for the league. Is there a way to create a fictional league and have it give the players/teams/etc history/stats?

Set the league up but set the year for XX years ago relative to the date when you want to start playing actively and sim up to that date. That's it if I understand the ask correctly...

I don't do fictional worlds, but I assume the year can be toggled in the Advanced Menu at the very least.
