How do I import historic players in ootp 8

It seems different than in the new ones like there's no way to enter the B ref ID from what I can tell i don't think

I read through hundreds of pages and I'm still so confused. I see the button to import them but it doesn't simply let me enter the ID to import them, and the text documents to mass import also don't work when I try to open them like how they do in the new games. The only options it gives me is 'data' which leads to a bunch of coded files or something and 'temp' which does literally nothing.
