Automatic Pitcher Replacement not Working

In playing the 1974 White Sox in OOTP 24. I notice that the team's games played in the instant mode allow the pitchers to be replaced when they are having trouble just as you would expect. When I play the team's game in regular mode, the opponent team will replace their pitchers when deemed necessary. The White Sox however, don't automatically replace the pitcher. No matter how tired he is, he stays in the game. How do I fix this so the White Sox take the pitcher out when necessary? Did not receive any response from the OOTP 24 Technical Support page. Thanks.

So you're playing the games out yourself, right? Do you have your substitutions set to human control and so the game is expecting you to do it? I'm talking about the dropdown in the red box below. If you want the AI to do it, make sure "human control" isn't selected there.
