Help with workshop mods

I've subscribed to three workshop mods in steam. Its shows that they are Subscribed in the OOTP26 app. I thought it was supposed to say Installed. Does anyone have a step by step for idiots for setting up mods using steam workshop? I thought it was fairly automated but it's looking like there's a lot of manual copy and pasting involved.

For example, in WorkShop Central inside the game the 3 mods I subscribed to show there as "Subscribed". Should they say "Installed" when properly installed? I've hit the reinstall button and it looks like it installs but the "Subscribed" message never changes. And OOTP does not default to the 3d parks, facegens, or uniforms/caps that I subscribed to. Am I missing a step in the process? If anyone can point me in the right direction I will forever refer to you as an officer and a gentleman.

After subscribing, return to the OOTP Start Screen and at the bottom, open Workshop Central. It should show the ones you subscribed to there. highlight each and on the right-hand side of the pop-up, look for both the download and the install buttons. When the install is happening you will see the top of the screen note files moving. Let me know if that works.

It does all that you describe but it never says "Installed" I'm pretty sure it's supposed to say installed not "Subscribed" Can anyone verify this? And to clarify, once i have the historic 3d stadiums, jerseys and caps, and facegens installed properly they will be pulled up automatically for the correct year when I start a new historic game. Is that correct?

Yeah, that's correct but I don't think it ever literally says "installed" vs. "subscribed".
If you want to be sure you have them, go to Settings on the Main Start Screen, when the pop-up opens, go to Troubleshooting tab, Click the button for "Open folder containing customizable data", go to the file called "fg_files" and look in there. If there are nearly 50,000 files, the facegen pack is there. If it is a tenth of that number, it didn't install.

I don't know that the Guardians historical uniforms will load unless you rename the team the Indians. I can't recall if silvam14 has the same file saved both ways (Guardians and Indians). But aside from that, again, yes, they will auto-load in a historical sim once you have the mods.
