Pack Luck, and Then Some

I completed the Carmen Sandiego mission and received 3 HG packs. In the third pack, I pulled 102Rick Sutcliffe. Then I completed a mission that rewarded me with five regular packs. In the first of these, I pulled Cool Papa and in the third Live Garrett Crochet.

I suppose I don't get to complain about pack luck for a couple of months.

I let Sutcliffe start one game. He went 7 for 1 ER and the win. While this was going on, I looked at selling him (there was a 325K bid in the card shop). I had been diligently working on the launch plus missions, and had just a few gold positions to complete and my diamond infielders mission was done.

I looked at what I needed to do to complete the perfect missions. It looked like I could buy six cards that I needed for about 240 K so I bid a fond farewell to Big Red. I didn't look for quality on the perfects I bought, it was solely a price thing. So I completed the two missions and got my 2 historical perfect packs and my historical rainbow pack. I got 102 Ichiro and 101 Pudge, making me feel pretty good about my decision to go for these missions.

I then completed my couple of gold position missions and started on the diamond missions. With a considerable reduction in inventory, I managed to complete them this afternoon. I got Isringhausen from my Historical Perfect pack and Cool Papa and Jake McGee from the Histoerical Rainbows. Along the way, I also got some duplicate immirtals,so I will be working on that family of missions.
