Missions - What do they mean

I was wondering if the developer crew could add a sticky post to this forum for each build, with a 1 or 2 line explanation of what some unobvious missions are about?

Obviously, the live missions need no explanation, but in 26 we have a mission called Punk Rock, and I have no idea what, if anything, links the players included in the mission. Same thing with the Use Somebody mission, and Atari, Waste A Moment, etc. It's more of a curiosity for me than obviously something important, but it would be interesting to know.

I think Sporer just gets a kick out of creating and naming the oddball missions, other than the obvious ones involving names like Field or Johnson. I can say that Use Somebody is garbage 40 and 41 cards that are only useful as roster fillers in cap tournaments. Waste a Moment is guys with low eye. Wait for Me is guys with high eye. Punk Rock is guys who were in the majors when punk rock was a thing. Atari is a little earlier (founded 1972, Atari console with Pong came out in 1975).

Interesting...I don't own 26 so I can't see for myself but please tell me Scott Radinsky is in the Punk Rock mission as he was the lead singer for Ten Foot Pole/Pulley while also having a decent MLB career.

paul doesn't name the missions or do anything with them. i think it's nico or chris.

Trying to discover what is in the brain of the team that creates the missions is a mission in itself (unfortunately not as easy to reward, though).

Nope. There's an 85 Radinsky in three missions, but Punk Rock isn't one of them.

My favorite missions* are the ones based on puns or references.

*Other than the easy-to-fill ones, for the dopamine.
