I've got a ballpark that looks funny
When playing games at Minute Maid Park in Houston, I get a ballpark that doesn't actually look like Minute Maid Park. This is a game I started in OOTP25 and imported. When I look in the folder for custom ballparks, I see files named minute_maid_park.sc and a minute_maid_park.ootp3d. I suspect this somehow might be related to the fact that the Washington Nationals moved to Columbus, Ohio, and renamed themselves the Purple Aces when I was still in OOTP25, because I see a custom park for them, too. But I have no idea. How do I reset it back to the original ballpark? I'm guessing I shouldn't just delete those files and hope for the best.
And the poor fans in DC. First the Senators, now the Nationals? Brutal. |

Go to your team page. Go to settings. Click on edit ball park. There’s two drop down menus on the upper left. Click the one on the right. There are all the ballparks loaded into your game. Find the one you want to use for your team. That should do it unless I’m mistaken.

It could be a change in the file name from 25 to 26. I had the same issue when I imported the White Sox. In 25, the park is file named as "Guaranteed Rate Field" but in 26 it's "Rate Field" so when 26 didn't find the equivalent name, it used a generic field.
I went into the ballpark list, found "Rate Field" and replaced all the pertinent files in the ballpark editor and now it works fine. |

I checked and that's exactly what happened. Minute Maid is now called Daikin Park and so you need to go into the ballpark information and change all the files to Daikin Park. Under the park info, you will see "Not Found" next to Minute Maid, and that's why they used generic pics.

Actually, I got it to look good in the ballpark editor, but when I go into the game, it still gives me the generic look. When I select the ballpark for the Astros, it doesn't give me an option to select Daikin Park... Is there a way to get the renamed ballparks to show up in the dropdown list? Or am I missing something else?

You didn't change the 3D Model file. There are four files that need to be changed and you changed three of them.

I was looking for a file with an sc extension -- now I noticed it's a pod file. That works. Thanks again!
