Dodgers History Wrong?

Hey guys!

Doing a Dodgers save from 1901 onwards, but when I go to see the state of the team's history, the stats of the Fort Wayne Kekiongas, the older (1872-75) Brooklyn Atlantics, the Louisville Grays and the Buffalo Bisons are all together with the "normal" team history (1884 onwards).

This probably doesn't bother most people, but I'm a stats maniac haha, and so my team's records would be skewed. For example, my pitcher with the most WAR is Pud Galvin, who never played in Brooklyn!

I tried to do some research in the topic but couldn't find anything (I'd be happy to be referred to another thread with answers!). I'm fairly new to the game, and it's my first time noticing this issue. From the few things I could find I seem to gather that it's because of the Historical Franchise ID.

Any ideas on how to/if it's even possible to fix this? I could start a new league, no problem. But I'd like to keep the stats from 1884-1900 if possible! Thanks in advance.

If you open the Teams.csv you can see how 19th c. teams have histories tied to them that don't exist. As a fan of a team that didn't exist before 1901, this is something that drives me crazy as a bunch of non-Red Sox hold franchise records. It should end. The band-aid of tying these players to modern franchises should just be fixed. 19th c. teams should fold, players should go to their real teams, the teams IDs should be correctly aligned. Full stop.

You could try reviewing the accessible Teams.csv and revising it so all those stats go to some other franchise ID, start the year before 1883, sim it and then take over the Dodgers. To start in 1884 would require cracking open the historical.database.odg to get to the inaccessible Teams.csv file that governs initial year set-ups. It's just easier to edit the one you can get to and start the year before imo.

But it's not an error. It's a jerry-rigged fix for playability dating back to reconciling old code with the addition of the 19th c. teams years ago.
