Hopefully Simple Schedule Request

Hi team, I'm hoping this is a very easy request.

I am looking for a 2/2/6 24-team modern schedule of 162 games.

By modern I mean no double-headers scheduled.

Four-day All-Star Break roughly at midseason.

No interleague.

The main facet I want is for it to start ON April 1, with no specified day of the week programmed in. Perhaps I don't even need a new one to achieve this, just some insight into whether unchecking that box will allow me just to use any and all schedules with a 1 April start date?

Other than that, I'd prefer it shorter (finish by end Sep if possible) rather than longer but that's a secondary consideration.

Thanks in advance.

No issues with turning off the checkbox for "Force Start on Certain Weekday". Besides that (and presumably specifying the Season Start Date) in the Schedule Settings, I recommend making sure the schedule file itself has the settings as you want. Those are set in the SCHEDULE line at top.

You want these...
start_month="4" start_day="1"

Remove any thing like...
start_day_of_week="2"
Not having the start day of week is consistent with not checking the box.

So if you find a schedule you like you can edit it that way.

Here are couple examples I cite just because I made them and am familiar. There may be something you like better in the posted list.

https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...15#post2699903 This one is older and a few days shorter in length compared to the next.

https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...02&postcount=4 This one is newer and a few days longer, coming from the recent era with MLB having more offdays that previously.

You can also use a 12 team schedule and load it for each subleague. That might open up more options.

All that said, feel free to request more specifically if you do not find something satisfactory. Those two examples above are 18 games per division opponent and 12 interdivision opponent. That (18*5+12*6=162) works out nicely. But maybe you would prefer something else, perhaps more unbalanced like 21-22 & 9. Maybe you decide you want something in particular for the game times.

Thanks gmo, I'll apply that shorter one without the day of the week checked and see if it handles what I want automatically. It suits my needs perfectly as long as I can get it to behave in this way.

What program do you use to actually get inside the program and make those changes in the first lines you suggest?

Much appreciated.

Any text editor will work, e.g., Notepad if you have Windows.
